We can help you with your next kitchen or bathroom remodel with tile. Tile is a very versatile product when it comes to style as well as application. Direct Sales Floors Carpet One is excited to offer you a quality selection of tile at our showroom. We carry tile flooring options in addition to wall tile and even tile you can install outside.
Below, Jim Aaron explains how to choose the perfect tile for your home.
Types of Tile
We offer three main types of tiles: ceramic, porcelain, and stone.
Ceramic and porcelain tiles are popular options for kitchens, mudrooms, and bathrooms. Both porcelain and ceramic are made of the same materials, but porcelain is baked at a higher temperature and is denser making it more resistant to moisture and heavy workloads. Both ceramic and porcelain tile are available in a wide variety of colors and styles to choose from, so you can create a unique look for your home.
Stone is a natural option we also offer. Stone tile is cut from slabs and quarried from different locations so not all are alike, giving you the option to have a truly custom floor in your home.
Where you want to install tile can determine the type of tile you need for your project. For example if you want tile in an entry way, go for something that is dense and can handle frequent foot traffic. When it comes to floor tile, you need to choose a tile that is durable and can handle foot traffic, whereas with wall tile just about every tile product will work as long as it has a good absorbency rating so it can adhere to the wall.
Tiles are usually difficult to install, but fortunately we work with teams of skilled installers who can handle any and every project. We’ll work with you to choose the right grouts and glazes, and we’ll be sure that the end result is exactly what you had in mind.
